Highly regarded Arkansas guard Moses Moody announced Friday that he is declaring for the NBA draft.

Moody is projected to be a top-10 pick. He said he will hire an agent.

Razorbacks coach Eric Musselman said Moody is the first Arkansas freshman to play one college season and leave for the NBA.

"Moses is the first EVER one and done from @RazorbackMBB!," Musselman said on Twitter. "Thanks for being such a big part of a memorable ride. Congratulations and good luck @moses_moody3! Once a Razorback always a Razorback!"

The 6-foot-6 Moody averaged 16.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in 32 games and was SEC Freshman of the Year while helping Arkansas reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The Razorbacks (25-7) lost 81-72 to eventual champion Baylor in their bid to reach the Final Four.

Moody, a Little Rock native, said he was happy to put Arkansas back on the map during his one-season stay.

"To Razorback nation (from every corner of the state), thank you for calling the hogs and taking this ride with us," Moody said in his announcement on Twitter. "Somehow you made it seem like we were playing in front of a packed house every night. I hope I made you proud in the process and showed you what can happen when you support homegrown talent.

"After prayer, talking to my family, careful consideration, and being this close to a lifelong dream, I have decided to hire an agent and enter my name into the 2021 NBA Draft. Special shout out to the next kid to dream it!!"

While Moody departs, Arkansas has so far added three transfers in Miami guard Chris Lykes, Pittsburgh guard Au'Diese Toney and South Dakota wing Stanley Umude.
